ABOUT THE DEVICE
Equipped with a pulse counter, these radio modules collect readings from two utility meters at once. The data is transmitted over a LoRaWAN® wireless network to a server which then transforms the data into meter readings. Smart sensors detect any attempted tampering and immediately notify the Jooby RDC Dashboard about it.
These pulse radio modules enable utility companies, developers, housing cooperatives, management companies, and industrial enterprises to fully automate the metering collection process. All you need to get accurate consumption data is to install the smart modules on consumer metering devices.
HOW IT WORKS
The device is installed on the wall near metering devices with a DIN rail, cable tie, or self-tapping screws and is activated with the Jooby mobile app. The entire process takes only a few minutes, with no meter dismantling required.
The radio module is connected to utility meters (water, gas, heat, electricity) equipped with a pulse output, and registers the pulses they emit. The pulse count is stored in the module’s memory and transmitted over a LoRaWAN® wireless network to a server at fixed intervals for the compilation of reports.
The data is also kept in the module’s built-in non-volatile memory over the following periods for redundancy:
- 1 month for hourly consumption
- 4 months for daily consumption
The information can be submitted to the server either hourly or daily, depending on the customer’s preferences.
The module is powered by a high-capacity battery which ensures 5 to 15 years of continuous operation.
